Stop Giving Public Money To Your Political Masters: Gov. Wike Warns Newly Inaugurated CTC Chairmen And Members.

Gov. Wike of Rivers State has expressed deep concern over the financial recklessness that take place in the Local Government Councils. At the inauguration of newly appointed CTC Chairmen and members, the governor cautioned them and told them in clear terms that it is no longer going to be business as usual in their various Area Councils.
He told them that the pattern of spending money has changed and that henceforth he would regulate the expenditure of all Local Government Councils. He charged the CTC Chairmen and members to ensure that the backlog of salaries owed Council staff are paid first before the Chairmen can ask for Security Votes.
Concluding, the governor said that it’s high time CTC Chairmen stopped giving public money to their political masters.
