Police Confirm Rearrest Of Escapee Ritual Killer, Suspect Being Moved Back To PH

The spokesman for the Rivers state Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni has confirmed reportsthat the suspected ritual killer, Ifeanyi Dike  who escaped from police custody in Port Harcourt has been rearrestedo in  Plateau state by officers of the Nigeria Police. The Rivers Police image who spoke to our correspondent via telephone said the suspect is right now being transported back to Port Harcourt

Ifeanyi Dike, an undergraduate of the University of Port Harcourt was arrested by the vigilante of Eliozu community and handed over to the ppolice for killing his eight-year-old niece, Victory Chikamso Mezu and removing  her body parts for ritual.

He escaped from the custody of the State CID in Port Harcourt after being paraded at the Police Headquarters.


Celebrations broke out at the Rivers State police headquarters when  the news fifiltered in that Ifeanyi Dike has been apprehended.

The police has come under heavy critism from individuals and groups following the the escape of Ifeanyi Dike.  The policeman under whose watch the suspect escaped, Sergeant Johnbosco Okorinize has been sacked and  is currently being held in prison custody for the escape.
