Nigeria Army parades officers, electoral offenders allegedly working for Wike

The 6th division of the Nigerian army has paraded suspects who allegedly disrupted the 2019 presidential election in Rivers state.

Parading the suspects to journalists at the 6 division of the Nigerian army,bori camp Port Harcourt, on Tuesday, Col. Aminu Iliyasu, the  deputy director army public relations, said the suspects confessed to be working for Gov. Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state.

He said the suspects  had posed as staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with the intention of tampering with  electoral materials  and 2.7million naira cash inducement.

Col. Iliyasu,  said the army has on record phone conversations between the suspects and the governor.

Among those paraded were maj. AP Ubah, DSP oyaku ifelle (camp commandant government house), Sgt Akanu, Hon Opokkri wanaka, Dr reason onya and others.
