The Obio/Akpor chapter of the Tonye Cole Volunteers, a socio-political group working for the actualization of the governorship ambition of Pastor Tonye Cole has received a big boost in its electioneering drive.
The coordinator of the group in Obio/Akpor local government area, Comrade Derek Amadi in a message sent to Feel Rivers and signed by Nancy Nwagboso
said the Tonye Cole Volunteers are “overwhelmed with the show of support by her people towards the actualization of the group’s set goals which is to mobilize the nonpartisan voters to vote Tonye Cole and other APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections”.
Receiving the donation of an office facility by His Royal Highness Eze Ejikeme Wali, Nyewe Ali of Okporo, Comrade Amadi assured the monarch that the facility will be used optimally “in the area of expectation”.
He said: “this is the height of all support received so far and with this, we shall double efforts to comb the nooks and crannies to ensure Wike is ousted in 2019”.
Responding, the monarch who was represented by a member of the council of chiefs, Chief Marculy Ihunwo said that he is ready to do more as long as it is geared towards installing good governance in Rivers State.
He further enjoined the group to remain resolute as volunteers to see that Tonye Cole emerges as winner come 2019 general election.
Recall that in September this year, the paramount ruler of Governor Nyesom Wike’s community, the Apiti of Rumueme, Eze Omunakwe Nsirim had pleaded with the minister for Transportation to do everything possible to oust the governor of the state in the forthcoming elections, describing him as a “greedy boy”.
