Saturday 5th November has broken with another cheering news for the Chibok community and members of the Bring Back Our Girls Campaign as troops of 121 Battalion, Nigerian Army, deployed at Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State, for Operation LAFIYA DOLE today, at about 6.00am.
Acting Director of Army public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukaskeka Usman who posted this on his Facebook wall stated that “while screening some escapees from Boko Haram terrorists hideout in Sambisa forest, discovered one of the abducted Government Secondary School Chibok girls, named Maryam Ali Maiyanga among them”
The Army spokesman said Maryam Ali Maiyanga was found to be carrying a 10-month-old son, named Ali and has been taken to the unit’s medical facility for proper medical check-up.
Recall that on October 13, 2016 when 21 of the over 200 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram from Chibok Town were released from captivity the Nigerian government had promised that further negotiations to release 83 more girls were in top gear.
The Chibok girls were abducted from their school in Chibok Town on April 14, 2014.
